Meet the Staff

Chris Tran, Director of Youth Ministries

Chris Tran

Thanks for visiting my staff profile!  I hope this information will bless you.
Here is a little about myself:

Well I was born in the great state of Nebraska and raised in this fair city of Lincoln.  I have lived in Lincoln for the entirety of my life and enjoyed it immensely.  My education began at Ruth Hill Elementary and once Cavett Elementary opened its doors, I transferred beginning in the fourth grade.  For my awkward middle school years I attended Scott Middle School.  Then came my high school years spent in the halls of Lincoln Southeast High School.  After graduating in 2004, I attended the University of Nebraska Lincoln.  I graduated in 2008 with a degree in Family Science and a minor in Sociology.

I married on August 23, 2008 to my beautiful wife Brittany (we met through the college ministry Navigators).  A month and a half after our wedding night, we were SURPRISED and blessed to know that Brittany was pregnant!  On May 18, 2009 our son Asher Vu Tran was born.  Our lives would not be as joyful and connected without our little sonny boy.

A little about my job:
I have been the youth pastor for Grace Chapel for over two years now!  Each day, week, month and year God has been gracious to our ministry and has provided amazing students for FUEL.  FUEL is the name of our large group meetings on Sunday nights which meet at seven in the evening.  We welcome middle and high school students that attend Grace Chapel or students who have never stepped foot in the doors of a church building.  Also on Sundays we do a morning education time for our middle and high school students for a smaller time of fellowship at ten.  Check our calendar for updates for small and large group events.

Things about this next year:
Please be in prayer for FUEL and the students that will be graduating.  Pray that they will know and love the Lord for the rest of their lives.  And for my family and I, pray that we seek the Lord in our marriage and in our parenting.  For future, that we would be obedient to Jesus’ calling of me (Chris Tran) to seminary and how to honor my family at the same time.

Thanks for visiting!

Rejoice in the Lord always!
