Haiti Hurricane Relief Options (2008 09 03)

For the latest updates, please visit Pastor Mike Hsu’s blog

OPTION #1 : Food and Water to the People of Gonaives
Pastor Dony St. Germain and El Shaddai Ministries International (ESMI) need funds to provide food and water directly to the people of Gonaives, Haiti who have been devastated by hurricanes Hanna and Ike.  Despite the difficulty of getting to Gonaives, in partnership with C3Missions and other relief organizations, Dony and ESMI workers are bringing food and water to the people.  They need your help to buy more food and water.  Grace Chapel has been involved with ESMI for going on five years now, sent a team to Haiti in August to work with ESMI and is preparing a second team to go in November.

Please send checks to:

Mission to North America (or MNA)
c/o Haiti-Hurricane Diaster Relief (write in check memo line)
1700 North Brown Road, Suite 101
Lawrenceville, GA 30043

or

El Shaddai Ministries International (or ESMI)
c/o Haiti-Hurricane Disaster Relief (write in check memo line)
13651 S. Biscayne River Drive
Miami, FL 33161

At this point, while funds will go for the exact same purpose whether sent to MNA or ESMI, the MNA option is preferred over the ESMI option as the Presbyterian Church in America denomination is providing disaster relief administrative support through their MNA agency.

OPTION #2 : Relief for Haitian Orphans in Gonaives
C3Missions is a partnership ministry with El Shaddai Ministries International (ESMI). Grace Chapel has been involved with ESMI for going on five years now, sent a team to Haiti in August to work with ESMI and is preparing a second team to go in November. C3’s work goes directly to feeding and caring for the ESMI orphans (growing each day in numbers) in the northern city of Gonaives.
